Golf Cart Lithium Batteries
Lithium battery solutions for golf carts, utility vehicles and commercial fleets — with local installation, service and support in the Kootenays.
Single-pack conversions, fleet upgrades and pilot programs are in development.
Golf Cart Battery Options
High Timber is developing lithium battery solutions for 36V, 48V and 72V golf carts and commercial low-speed vehicles. Battery selection is based on the cart, motor/controller, available space, operating demands and charger—not simply system voltage.

Why Switch to Lithium?
Less Maintenance
No watering, acid cleanup or routine terminal maintenance like traditional lead-acid battery banks.
Lower Weight
Lithium battery systems can significantly reduce battery weight, which can improve cart efficiency and reduce strain on the vehicle.
Faster Charging
Lithium batteries can accept higher charging rates and recover faster between uses when paired with the right charger.
One Battery Instead of Multiple Connections
A single lithium pack can replace multiple lead-acid batteries, reducing cables, connections, installation time and potential failure points.
Fleet Conversions
Convert one cart, a small group, or an entire fleet with battery and charger combinations selected around the actual carts and daily use.
Pilot Programs
Start with one or two carts, run them alongside the existing fleet, and evaluate charging, range, performance and staff feedback before making a larger commitment.

Local Service & Support
High Timber provides local installation, troubleshooting and product support in the Kootenays.
Commercial Applications
Suitable for golf courses, resorts, campgrounds, maintenance fleets, utility carts and other commercial operations.
Manufacturer Performance Testing
The controlled testing of a 48V 105Ah LiFePO4 battery in a 5kW, 2+2 passenger golf cart under a range of operating conditions, including flat-ground driving, full-load operation and steep climbing.
Test                     Load            Reported Range
Flat ground             65 kg            76 km
Flat ground             300 kg          59 km
15° climbing            65 kg            57 km
30° climbing            65 kg            53 km
30° climbing            300 kg          46 km

These results are from testing conducted by the battery manufacturer and are provided for reference only. Actual range will vary based on the cart, motor and controller, terrain, payload, speed, temperature, tire pressure, accessories and operating conditions.
A Simpler Battery System
Many golf carts rely on several lead-acid batteries connected together to create the required system voltage. A properly selected lithium pack can replace that entire battery bank with a single unit, simplifying the system and reducing the number of cables, terminals and connections that need to be installed, maintained and troubleshot.
-
Fewer Connections — Less cabling and fewer terminals mean fewer potential connection and corrosion issues.
-
Less Routine Maintenance — No battery watering, acid cleanup or traditional lead-acid maintenance.
-
Cleaner Installation — A single battery can create a much simpler, more organized battery compartment.
-
Easier Service & Troubleshooting — Fewer individual batteries and connections make the system easier to inspect and diagnose.
Founding Pilot Offer
High Timber will offer preferred introductory pricing to the first three Kootenay golf courses that participate in a one- or two-cart pilot conversion.

In return, we’d appreciate any feedback from your staff on charging, performance, monitoring and day-to-day operation. There is no obligation to proceed with any additional fleet conversion.
Not Ready for a Pilot Yet?
We know golf course staff are busy. If you’d prefer, High Timber can send a short fillable questionnaire to gather basic information about your carts, chargers and current battery setup.
Â
You’re also welcome to send any questions, concerns or comments about the batteries, service or conversion process.
